Seclore and CDAC partner to bring security to open source technologies

Mumbai, 24th November 2008 – IIT Bombay promoted Seclore (boldfocusi37.sg-host.com) and Center for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) (www.cdac.in) today announced a partnership to bring security to open source platform. The partnership will focus on bringing Seclore’s content level encryption (CLE) security technologies like FileSecure and InfoSource to open source platforms like Linux and Open office.

A lot of commercial technology comes very late to the open source user community thus affecting the otherwise commercial use of such technologies. Seclore and CDAC have taken up the mandate to ensure that advanced Information Rights Management and Secure outsourcing solutions become available ubiquitously.

Speaking on the occasion, Vishal Gupta, CEO of Seclore technologies said “CDAC is India’s foremost computing research and training institute and we are extremely proud to partner with CDAC in this endeavor. The availability of FileSecure and InfoSource on open source technologies will bring increased security to these environments.”

Zia Saquib, Executive Director of CDAC said “Seclore has proved itself to be an innovation powerhouse in the information risk mitigation space with its FileSecure and InfoSource products. CDAC is proud to be partnering with Seclore for this endeavor”.
